America's national passenger railroad serves more than 27 million riders in 46 states. Amtrak travels to more than 500 cities and destinations on 22,000 miles of track. The Texas Eagle travels daily from Chicago through 26 cities in Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas, with stops in DFW, on its way to San Antonio where connections to Los Angeles and New Orleans occur three times a week. In Fort Worth, the Amtrak Heartland Flyer service departs daily going north to Oklahoma City.
The TRE links downtown Fort Worth, downtown Dallas and DFW Airport. Scheduled train service is provided Monday through Saturday. No service is available on Sunday. Stations located in Dallas, Irving, Fort Worth, and Hurst Richland Hills.
