Unearth a wealth of history and unleash a ton of fun! The International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame brings to life the colorful, 5,000-year history of this international pastime. Located on the International Bowling Campus in the middle of Arlington’s Entertainment District, the collection of historical artifacts and interactive presentations is an experience designed for people of all ages. Explore a rich past that takes you through the time of ancient Egypt until the very present. You don’t have to be on a league to appreciate the sport’s rich history!

Explore the inventors and innovators of the game of bowling. From the ancient Egyptians to British monarchs to an enterprising German immigrant, follow the sport’s journey from archeological digs and American taverns to the first American bowling “alley.”

Travel through the many innovations of bowling through life-sized replicas, touch-screen kiosks, film montages and interactive games, such as a fully functioning virtual bowling lane. It sets ‘em up and you knock ‘em down! Witness the latest computer-assisted coaching techniques; explore the current trends in Olympic training and experience the growing movement of professional women’s bowling.

The Hall of Fame section of the museum is a dynamic venue honoring the legends of the most participatory sport in the world. Follow the meteoric careers of bowling’s greatest champs, like hall of famer Don Carter, who rose from boy pinsetter to living legend. See the story of female great Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, a 10-time All American, three-time Collegiate All American and 2007 inductee into the USBC Hall of Fame.

After you have traveled through time, give the kids a hands-on experience at Bowlopolis™, where the pleasure of bowling comes alive for even the tiniest hands!

The International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame, where the future of bowling is at your fingertips!
