5. JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis at Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas will be unveiling the new interactive 4D ride JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis in Arlington, Texas for summer 2015!

The ride starts off by touring riders through the fully immersive 4D Hall of Justice. There, those on board get their own stun guns to help the Justice League battle the bad guys set against the bustling cityscape of Metropolis and deep into the shadows of Lex Corp. With lifelike animatronics , cutting-edge special effects, 4D video and real-time gaming, JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis is DC Comics fan’s audio-visual event of the year!

4. Fantasy in Sand: the Wonderful World of Wizard of Oz

May 22 – July 18

We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore! Located next to Globe Life Park Arlington (home to the MLB Texas Rangers) May 22 brings Fantasy in Sand: the Wonderful World of Oz, featuring over 3 million pounds of sand,  larger-than-life sand sculptures depicting iconic scenes from the timeless classic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz PLUS  a 2,000 sq.-ft. sandbox for the kids to play in (the largest in Texas!). Not to mention, in celebration of our “American Dream City,” there will be sand sculptures entitled “America the Beautiful,” recreating our nation’s most beloved icons and monuments.

 

3. Arlington CVB Segway Tours

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a… Segway? We’ve partnered up with Segway adventures to offer Arlington visitors two ultimate treks around our favorite attractions! Ride with a group around Globe Life Park in Arlington, past Richard Greene Linear Park and Robert Cluck Linear Park and right by AT&T Stadium OR book an exclusive tour inside the corridors of Globe Life Park.

2. New Ballpark food

What’s more fitting new Holland Tot-‘chos at Globe Life Park in Arlington being served in  a small dutch oven? Nothing! That’s what to expect from the new ballpark fare. The menagerie of new tasty treats to watch baseball to include *BIG INHALE*:

  • For the sweet tooth: Fried Twinkies, Fried S’more with Crème Filled Cookies, Funnel Cake Fries AND the most delectable looking banana split (that one’s a Captain Morgan’s Club exclusive)
