Arlington Highlands The Arlington Highlands brings a new Dave & Busters in Fall 2008, and the shopping center will also welcome a “Splitsville” Bowling and Entertainment center in early 2009.
The Parks at Arlington Mall The Parks at Arlington Mall welcomes new retailers. The Cheesecake Factory has opened a 380-seat restaurant, the Parks will soon be home to a new Barnes and Noble store and Forever 21 women’s apparel shop, filling up 85,000 square feet of space at the entrance to the mall. Lincoln Square Lincoln Square adds new retailer Ross by the end of 2008. The Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts The Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts is a project in downtown Arlington on schedule to becoming a focal point of Founder’s Plaza. The project is an example of public and private partnerships designed to support arts, culture and beautification of downtown Arlington. Providing the community with an accessible gathering place for free music and performing arts open to everyone – all ages, all ethnicities, all neighborhoods and all income levels will enjoy and benefit from music and the performing arts. Grand Opening is set for October. Caelum Moor Caelum Moor will be standing again by the end of the year. From 1986 until 1997, this collection of twenty-two pinkish stones stood at the headwaters of Johnson Creek in Arlington before being dismantled. The Stonehenge-like work of art, once situated on 5.5 acres of a gently rolling park, included a small, winding lake, a fountain, seasonal landscaping, and a 350-seat natural amphitheatre. Caelum Moor will be re-erected along Randol Mill Road. |
