Dallas Cowboys Stadium

Dallas Cowboys' new home in Arlington will also host two future Big 12 Championship Games. The 2009 and 2010 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship games will be played Cowboys Stadium. In the 12 previous editions, the contest has been played before a total of more than 817,000 fans.

Caelum Moor

Caelum Moor will be standing again by the end of the year. From 1986-97, this collection of 22 pinkish stones stood at the headwaters of Johnson Creek in Arlington. The stonehenge-like work of art included a small lake and fountain, seasonal landscaping and a 350- seat natural amphitheatre. Caelum Moor is to be resurrected along Randol Mill Road.

The Texas A&M Aggies And Arkansas Razorbacks

The Texas A&M Aggies and Arkansas Razorbacks will revive their rivalry beginning with a 10-year series of games at the stadium in Fall of 2009.

Three Bridges Project

The Center Street Bridge is part of the approximate $195 million “Three Bridges” project. The “Three Bridges” area will include beautification elements designed to increase the visual appeal of the roadway. Murals approximately 20-feet high by 40-feet high will reflect the history and culture of Arlington. Other amenities include landscaping of nearly 40,000 shrubs and trees, decorative bridge walls, lighting, covered walkways and four 66-foot towers on the Center Street Bridge.

Bowling

The United States Bowling Congress Board of Directors relocates the organization's headquarters to Arlington, Texas, where it will reside with the Bowling Proprietors' Association of America. The property is located across the street from Six Flags Over Texas in the heart of Arlington's Entertainment District. It is about three blocks east of Rangers' Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers baseball team, and about six blocks east of the new Cowboys stadium. The creation of an international bowling campus at such a high profile location will provide the opportunity to showcase bowling to the world that doesn't exist at the present location. It will feature a training facility, Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame.

Big 12 Championship

Dallas Cowboys' new home in Arlington will also be host to two future Big 12 Championship Games. The 2009 and 2010 Dr Pepper Big 12 Championship games will be played in the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium. In the 12 previous editions, the contest has been played before a total of more than 817,000 fans.

Johnson Creek

Contained within city limits is a 9-mile stretch of Johnson Creek and contributory 10,174-acre watershed whose historic channel, a tributary of the Trinity River, is one of Arlington’s most precious remaining natural resources. It has been described by citizens as “an important thread in their city’s fabric.” The City will ultimately transform Johnson Creek into an asset on five levels: Economy, Culture, Recreation, Ecology and Habitat, and Education. The project should be in final stages in Winter 2009.
