Opponents for the 2010 Cowboys season have been announced by the NFL.  So which teams are coming to Arlington next season?

The following teams will play the Cowboys at Cowboys Stadium in 2010 (in alphabetical order):  Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins.

Dates and times for each game will be announced by the NFL in the spring.

The Cowboys will travel for road games in 2010 at (in alphabetical order):  Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins.

So how does the league determine the schedule?

The scheduling formula implemented in 2002 with realignment guarantees that all teams play each other on a regular, rotating basis.  Under the formula, every team within a division plays:

**Home & Away against its three division opponents (for the Cowboys, those division opponents are the Giants, Eagles & Redskins).

**Four teams from another division within the conference (this year the NFC East plays the NFC North so that's why the Cowboys will play the Bears, Lions, Packers and Vikings).

**Four teams from a division in the other conference (this year the NFC East plays the AFC South so that's why the Cowboys will play the Colts, Jaguars, Texans and Titans).

**Two intra-conference games based on the prior year's standings (Cowboys finished in 1st place in the East, so the Cowboys play 1st place teams from the NFC West and NFC South, the Cardinals and Saints).

The NFL has announced that NFL Kickoff 2010 Weekend will begin on Thursday, September 9th and the regular season will conclude on Sunday, January 2nd, 2011.  Wild Card Weekend will be January 8-9, 2011.  Divisional Playoff Games will be the January 15-16, 2011.  The AFC and NFC Conference Games will be played on Sunday, January 23, 2011.

Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington will be played on Sunday, February 6th.

The Pro Bowl will be played in Honolulu, Hawaii the week after the Super Bowl.  The date and time for the Pro Bowl are to-be-determined.
