Cowboys Stadium Topples NFL Attendance Records

During its inaugural season, Cowboys Stadium set NFL attendance records in three categories:  regular season game; playoff game; and single-season.
The crowd of 92,951 at the Cowboys win over the Eagles in the Wild Card playoff game on Saturday, January 9, 2010 set the NFL playoff attendance record for non-Super Bowl games.

The regular season home opener versus the Giants on September 20th drew 105,121, the most fans to ever see an NFL regular season game.

For the entire regular season (8 games), the Cowboys drew an NFL record 718,055 fans, the most in a season in NFL history.  The previous league record was held by the Washington Redskins who drew 711,471 fans in 2007.

Two of the eight regular season home games drew crowds in excess of 100,000.  In addition to the record setting home opener versus the Giants (105,121), the final game of the regular season versus the Eagles drew 100,621.  The attendance figures for the remaining six home games were:  90,588 on September 28th for a Monday Night Football game versus the Panthers; 81,521 on October 25th versus the Falcons; 80,886 on November 1st versus the Seahawks; 85,277 on November 22nd versus the Redskins; 83,489 on Thanksgiving Day versus the Raiders; and 90,552 on December 13th versus the Chargers.
