Josh Hamilton to Headline Texas Rangers Youth Baseball Camp on Saturday, Nov 14th Outfielder Josh Hamilton will headline the Texas Rangers Baseball Camp on Saturday, November 14th at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington from 9am to 2pm. The camp is for youth ages 10 to 18 and is designed to improve skills through baseball drills and instruction on proper practice techniques, fielding, game situations, hitting, throwing, base running, weight training, flexibility, and team offense and defense. Hamilton and his Triple Play Ministries will also bring former Rangers players to speak to the campers as well as provide instruction. Scheduled to speak are Rangers Hall of Fame catcher Jim Sundberg and outfielder David Murphy. Former Rangers who will serve as camp instructors are: Dave Hostetler, Mike Simms, and Todd Van Poppel. Former Rangers pitcher Mike Jeffcoat is the lead instructor. Each camper will have the opportunity to meet Josh and receive an autographed photo and cap. Lunch will also be provided. Please reserve a spot in camp as space is limited. The fee is $150 per camper. Portions of the fee will benefit Josh Hamilton’s Triple Play Ministries.
