The biggest event in wrestling, complete with some of the biggest wrestling names of all time, will be in Arlington in just under 10 days, and we’re more excited than ever to have some of the best, most dedicated fans in the world in our city. Whether you stop by earlier in the week and peruse around our area, or come only for the weekend, here’s the know for those who want to make the most out of their vacation to the American Dream City for Wrestlemania!

  1. Before: Get your adrenaline pumping early at Six Flags Over Texas
    Saturday, April 2

Six Flags Over Texas is the original Six Flags in the franchise game. Enjoy our favorites such as the Texas Giant wood-metal hybrid, the 80-mph Titan rollercoaster, Guinness World Record holder The Texas SkyScreamer and more. Plus, there’s a NEW spin on our double-loop favorite rollercoaster. This ground-breaking new ride experience, which Six Flags created in partnership with Samsung Gear VR and Oculus is the New Revolution Virtual Reality Coaster with wireless headsets that allow riders to enter a virtual world with hi-resolution imagery and 360 views that actually synchronize to the action of the coaster! We have discount tickets for you, too here.

Insider tip:  If you already have a season pass for your home park, it will work at Six Flags Over Texas!

  1. After: Join in on the tradition of Texas Rangers Opening Day
    Monday, April 4

Every spring, we, along with the community, plead with the MLB to make Opening Day a national holiday, because even though it’s not official, it sure is treated as such. On the day right after Wrestlemania, join us as we celebrate the Texas Rangers season opener at Globe Life Park in Arlington vs. the Seattle Mariners. Not only will there be tons of tailgate parties, but most (if not all) surrounding bars will be packed full with Rangers fans. It’s a great time to be in Arlington!

Our list of sports bars can be found here.

Insider tip: Even if you don’t have a ticket, parties and tailgates will be sprouting up all around town with most showing the game. Sit back, enjoy some gameday favorites (and maybe a beer) and experience Texas Rangers love!

  1. Before: Tour Globe Life Park in Arlington, Home of the Texas Rangers

Friday, April 1 from 10 am – 4 pm and Sunday April 3 from 11 am to 4 pm

Let the friendly and knowledgeable ballpark tour staff show you around one of the most beautiful ballparks in the game! See the most exciting behind-the-scenes areas of the ballpark including batting cages, press box, City of Arlington Suite, dugouts, and much more.

Insider Tip: Opening Day is Monday, so you’ll get to see the ballpark shiny, clean and new for the occasion. Ask for Billie if you can and tell them the ACVB sent ya!

  1. Before: Tour the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame

Bet you didn’t know that the hub and mecca of American bowling is housed within the International Bowling campus here in Arlington, only about one mile from AT&T Stadium. Not only does it have the bowling hall of fame, complete with a miniature bowling alley and replica alley, it also details the extensive history of the world’s largest participatory sport back 5,000 years starting with the Egyptians.

Insider fact: The Campus, which is right next door the Hall of Fame and Museum, is where the Junior American Olympic bowling team practices with their state-of-the-art robot E.A.R.L.
