Prairie Lights

It wouldn't be Christmas in North Texas without a visit to Prairie Lights, one of DFW's favorite holiday traditions! Located along a two-mile stretch of Joe Pool Lake shoreline in Grand Prairie, this gorgeous drive-through park boasts an amazing presentation of more than 4 million lights, all arranged in hundreds of dazzling holiday scenes. Halfway through your journey, stop for an out-of-car experience in the Prairie Lights Holiday Village, which includes photos with Santa (through Dec. 23), a laser show, carnival rides, festive holiday fare, and shopping...not to mention the beautiful Holiday Magic Walk-Through Forest depicting holiday traditions from around the world. Prairie Lights is open 6-10 pm Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve; ticket prices (per carload of up to eight) are $45. Additional fees apply for larger/commercial vehicles and line jump "Fast Pass" privileges. Prairie Lights is sponsored by the City of Grand Prairie's Parks, Arts, and Recreation Department.
