Getting hitched in Arlington
Ahhhh love. Ain’t it grand? We LOVE love in Arlington and welcome you to begin your new life in this World of Wonderful. Here are some cool spots to pop the question in Arlington.
The Six Flags Oil Derrick
Unless your boo is afraid of heights, the stunning 360-degree view of the Dallas-Fort Worth region from atop the iconic 300-foot Six Flags Oil Derrick, one of the oldest attractions at Six Flags Over Texas, will be the perfect smooch spot after you get a “yes!” Don’t forget to take a cool video or selfie of the view while you’re there!
River Legacy Park
If you and your valentine love the outdoors, then consider this expansive green space as a backdrop for popping the question. When contacted in advance, the River Legacy staff can help you find the perfect spot, from among the park’s many scenic overlooks and trail stops, to seize the moment.
World Class Stadiums
We recommend celebrating afterward with a romantic picnic! Arlington’s World Class Sports Stadiums. If your heart pumps with Cowboys blue or Rangers red, consider any number of proposal opportunities and picturesque spots in and around AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field or Globe Life Park. You’ll want to check in with all our venues to get options and opportunities for your big moment: luxury suites, behind-the-scenes tours, jumbotron options, etc.
The Dream Sculpture
Twelve feet high and 54-feet long, this relatively new addition to the Downtown Arlington art landscape, is one of the most photogenic spots in town—and what better place to start your new life together than a place that celebrates dreams and dreamers? Then toast your good news afterwards at a nearby Downtown Arlington pub, eatery, or dining establishment. Most of them are even walking distance from Founders Plaza. If you find that you’ve celebrated a bit too much, catch an uber to one of Arlington’s two bed & breakfasts, which are both just minutes from the Dream Sculpture. Sweet dreams!
Unity Arch Sculpture
Could there be a better place to pledge forever than at the Unity Arch Sculpture? Plus, the stainless steel sculpture, which resembles a an infinity symbol, features breathtaking views of AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park at Arlington because of its nifty location between the two.
Does your sweetheart like to be wined and dined? Then you bend the knee at the fine dining restaurant that displays the most panoramic view of the Entertainment District. The food is amazing too! Menu faves at Mercury Chophouse include prime steaks and meats, seafood, salads…and don’t get us started on the dessert list! Who wouldn’t want to toast a new life with world-class food and spirits, live music, and impeccable service? For more ideas about proposals in Arlington, see our blog.
