The temperatures are dropping and there’s no better way to enjoy the crisp fall weather than hanging out on a patio with delicious food, great drinks, and even better company. Whether you’re looking for a happy hour spot or a night out, check out some of the best patio spots in Arlington!

Tipsy Oak

On any given day, this is arguably the most happening patio in Downtown Arlington. Their chef-driven menu has fresh takes on classic dishes like their Poutine, Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese, and Lobster Roll.   Pair one of these with one of Tipsy Oak’s Signature Cocktails or a selection from their extensive beer and wine menu. If you love a good brunch, you’ll absolutely have to try their weekend-only brunch menu. Don’t forget to take advantage of $5 Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas all day Saturday and Sunday! And, if you’re looking for photo ops Tipsy Oak is close to all of the downtown murals ;)

Lazy Dog Restaurant

Take a break from shopping at the Arlington Highlands or make a special trip with your fur child to the dog-friendly patio! While your four-legged friend orders off their very own ‘Pup Menu’, the human patrons can enjoy dishes from the scratch-made American kitchen. Whether you’re in the mood to snack or have worked up a big appetite, Lazy Dog’s menu is full of small bites, starters, burgers, meat and chicken dishes, and even plenty of meatless and gluten sensitive options. Just like the food menu, the bar menu is just as extensive with plenty of choices to sip on.

El Arroyo

What could be better than hanging out on the patio with an ice-cold margarita and guac and queso? El Arroyo is the perfect patio hangout for those of us who consider Tex-Mex one of the actual food groups *raises hand*! The enclosed brick patio with open windows is covered in misting fans and flat screen TVs.  On the weekends, enjoy live music with your sizzling fajita platter. And don’t miss the chance to snap a pic of their infamous sign out front which is always full of funny and quirky sayings or quotes for a great Instagram post.

BoomerJack’s

With drink specials all day, every day, you can have happy hour any time you want at BoomerJack’s!  Soon, the North Arlington location in Lincoln Square will have a brand-new patio. In the meantime, head on over to the South Arlington location in the Arlington Highlands. BoomerJack’s has something on their menu for everyone from hand- crafted burgers and sandwiches to steaks and seafood. For all you football fans, this is the patio to be on while cheering on your favorite team!

Piranha Killer Sushi

They say it themselves, Piranha Killer Sushi has killer sushi, killer drinks, and a killer atmosphere!  Whether you stick to a classic roll or try one of the many signature rolls on the menu, their patio is the place to be. Their happy hour deals are pretty good, with a big selection of rolls and appetizers to choose from along with quite the list of Signature Martinis, wine, and Saki.

Social House

When you drive into Champions Park, you can’t miss the white umbrellas and string lights. Whether it’s lunch, brunch, happy hour, or dinner, the Social House patio creates the perfect relaxing mood to enjoy yourself. There’s plenty of delicious choices on the menu, especially their House Specialties like the Slow Roasted Blue Moon Butter Chicken and the Social House III Meat Meatloaf.  The weekend Social Brunch Menu is a good bet, too. Check their website for hours and times.
