The weather is getting a little warmer and spring is the air! (Whether your allergies like it or not…) With a nice sunny day, you don’t want to leave your pup behind. Soak up some sun, get in a run or brunch the day away – all with your fur babies by your side. Arlington has plenty of dog-friendly spots you both can enjoy. Take them with you on your next trip from parks and restaurants to pampering just for them. After all, they deserve some R&R, too. Check out our round up of pet-friendly spots in Arlington:

Fetch, catch and more!
Whether you want long hiking trails or spots for your dog to meet a new friend, Arlington Parks and Recreation has a little bit of everything. Plus, there’s plenty of room to social distance! If you have a thing for geology, you’ve got to add Crystal Canyon Natural Area to your list. Hike around unspoiled nature and just make sure to keep your pups on a leash. Pro tip: Hydrate! Bring water for you and your dog.
River Legacy is another great option for trails and nature sight-seeing. Bring a leash and remember to come back another day to visit their Living Science Center! Meet some new four-legged friends at Tails N’ Trails Dog Park! This off-leash dog park is fully fenced and has open and wooded sections. Plus – there’s even a special small dog area.
Treat your pup…
We all love our pets, so spoiling them a little more never hurts… Dog parents, consider yourself warned. Don’t expect to go in Three Dog Bakery and leave empty handed. They have fresh-baked treats, a wide assortment of regular dog food and adorable canine merch from t-shirts to home décor. For other products for your pup, check out Petmate. You can find their items in stores like Walmart and PetCo. With a warehouse and headquarters in Arlington, Petmate supports local jobs!

Dine with your dog –
Grease Monkey and Beers and Brats are two popular spots for a canine plus one. Their patios are perfect for some fresh air, a beer and your best friend (both two-legged and four!). If you want to really wine and dine your furry friends, Lazy Dog is a must. The dog-friendly restaurant serves tasty comfort food, but what seals the deal is their dog menu. Your pup will never go back after they get a bite of the good life!
