The Texas Christkindl Market is a small and quaint market with treasures to make their season bright. This annual event is a great way to make memories with the family and tackle your Christmas list. Although this year is smaller than previous ones, our family still loves to support small business and the vendors. The Market is open daily with hours varying. Learn more about this free event here!
Gifts for a Day to Remember
An experience is a great gift for families, tickets to the movies, or even a membership to a museum or zoo
The Fort Worth Zoo isn’t in Arlington, BUT it’s still a fantastic place to spend the day! Memberships last a full year, so you may want to gift these as close to gifting day as possible. Kid memberships are $32 and adult memberships are $64 ($52 for Seniors). If you’d like to treat someone to a day at the zoo, individual tickets can be purchased and are valid for 30 days. Learn more here.
Treat the person that does it all to a day of pampering and relaxation

I love the black-and-tan bar and seasonal bath bombs. The unicorn soap (limited availability) is my 6 year old’s favorite.
Add some variety to their fitness routine by gifting a class or membership to a local gym

Gifts for Kids
With rapidly changing interests, new fads constantly emerging, the youngest people on your list can be the most challenging to shop for, but thinking outside of the toy aisle can make you popular those little people you love so much
I love when my kids receive gift cards. They get to spend their own money and feel independent, and I don’t have to trip on a toy while getting a glass of water in the middle of the night- it’s a win-win.
Give a gift card to one of their favorite places, a restaurant/treat shop or a local coffee shop, like Inclusion Coffee in Downtown Arlington or Iceland Ice Cream, an ice cream shop offering rolled ice cream (who doesn’t love ice cream?!)
When gifting an experience, I recommend including candy or a small knick knack. This way the recipient has something to immediately enjoy, especially if they’re a young kid.
Still not sure what to give everyone on your list?
Gracie Lane is a collection of boutiques and speciality stores, one of which is sure to have that special something.
One of my favorite shops is Bella Vita Gourmet Olive Oil and Balsamics, offering premium olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Which make great gifts! I usually gift a bottle of an infused oil, like the Herbs de Provence infused oil, either on it’s own or with an apron or cooking utensil.
Arlington is full of wonderful small businesses that would love to receive your support this holiday season. Be sure to follow the businesses you shop with this season on social, for the latest news and special offers throughout the year.
