Valentine’s Day is around the corner – and whether you’re a hopeless romantic or a bit of a scrooge, we promise you can find the perfect outing. Go all in with an upscale dinner or see how much of a bad axe you are with friends. (Or why not both!) From art and nature to cabarets and craft beer, there’s plenty of things to do, no matter if it’s with your sweetheart or friends.

Check with each venue for hours and availability as things change. Remember to bring your mask and wait 6 feet between others!

1. Lone Star Axe Throwing

506 E. Division St, Suite 120
Arlington, TX 76011

Looking to pick up a new hobby? Give axe throwing a try. The team at Lone Star Axe Throwing will show you the ropes and you’ll be hitting bullseyes in no time. They’re located right in the middle of Urban Union, and you can bring in food from Cartel Taco Bar next door, too. YUM.

2. Theatre Arlington

305 West Main St
Arlington, TX 76010

It’s always a good time over at Theatre Arlington, but they have a special show coming up for Valentine’s Day. Their Valentine themed cabaret Cocktails & Kisses is filled with love songs, romance and adult beverages. They also have a painting party if you want to celebrate a little early!

TIP: Make it a day out of Downtown Arlington and stop by the Arlington Museum of Art and get a sweet treat at Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard.

3. Alley Cats

2008 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd
Arlington, TX 76015

Alley Cats keeps the good times rolling. If you’ve got a competitive streak, there are a few options. Challenge your date to a round of bowling, laser tag, arcade games, putt-putt – and more! Plus, the loser can pick up drinks. Yep, they even have a full menu and bar.

4. Wine and Dine

Several upscale spots are doing Valentine’s Day specials, and trust us – don’t read ahead on an empty stomach. The Melting Pot has an all-inclusive experience as well as an Ultimate Romance Celebration option. Our favorite part is the Snickers chocolate fondue to finish off the night… mm-hm!

If you want dinner with a view, Mercury Chophouse is a must. The classy steakhouse has sweeping views of Arlington on top a special menu featuring filet mignon topped with jumbo lump crab and bearnaise…

Treat yourself and loved one to pampering at the Sanford House Inn and Spa and finish it with a meal at Restaurant 506. Massages, body wraps, pedicures and more – the hardest decision you’ll have to make over there is between the Swiss chocolate lava cake or the strawberry short cake destruction.
