The Texas Christkindl Market, November 27-December 23, has always been family-friendly. That’s why this year we’ve expanded and created the Kinder Market with non-stop activities and attractions geared especially toward the little ones! Open weekends only the duration of this year’s Market, take a look at all the reasons these holiday-centric activities will be perfect for your kids this Texas Christkindl Market season.

  1. “Look, actual snow!”

This year, we’re bringing actual snow to the new Kinder Market Snow Playground and Snow Throw. Take your turns building a snowman, stage a friendly snowball fight or even create your own snow angel.

  1. Spin, spin, spin on the carousel OR a real pony!

Self-explanatory.  New and always a favorite for all ages, take a turn on the carousel amidst pure holiday magic. Or, saddle up on an actual pony for the same effect, just more organic.

  1. They get to decorate and take home their own gingerbread house

Presented by The Cakery, reservations will be highly recommended. What better way to stimulate young minds and keep them preoccupied than having them decorate their own gingerbread house. Iconic to the holiday season, $30 gets you the house, all the supplies and a carrying house to take it home. Yes, you can take it home!

  1. They’ll get to see Santa’s Workshop—

They’ll see it at the North Pole Texas Marionette Show. A timeless holiday tradition, wooden puppets and talented performers take guests on a tour of the North Pole, through Santa’s Workshop and introduce them to North Pole locals and crazy critters. Show times are Fridays: 5 pm & 7 pm, Saturdays: 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm & 7 pm and Sundays: 3 pm & 5 pm. Cost: $10 for all ages; $12 for reserved seating.

  1. “SANTA!” We know him, and he’ll be there

Whether they’ve been good or not this year, stop by the Santa Haus. Our good ol’ Saint Nicholas (Sankt Nikolaus or der Heilige Nikolaus) will be there to listen to what’s in your child’s heart of hearts for this holiday season as well as snap a few pics. All are welcome to visit St. Nick, but photo packages will be available for purchase on-site. You might even see the Christkindl Angel!

  1. Hear Old-Fashioned Storytelling

Catch storytelling courtesy of the Arlington Public Library on December 5 & 12 at 1 pm and 3 pm and December 6 & 13 at 3 pm.
