In 2016 alone, Esports were expected to make $493 million, growing to take over almost 50% of the international gaming market. Expanding beyond PC and console, developers have brought Esports tournaments and competitions to a mobile audience – creating options for Esports gamers to connect and play anywhere!
As of October 2017, the Olympics considered Esports for competition events to win actual Olympic medals. While still in the works for Paris in 2024, the discussions are on their way to possibly having Esports a recognized Olympic sport.
